FMEA as part of IATF 16949 core tools, that designed for helping manufacturer particularly automotive suppliers to design, control and optimizing their production process in order to prevent mistakes during process, unpredictable cost due to mishandling, prevent the customer claim due to poor quality, and ensure product launched is safe for customers. Currently, there are 2 types of FMEA that accepted and applicable in automotive manufacturer such as FMEA AIAG version and FMEA AIAG-VDA, that has different in method of application and goal. Therefore, the manufacturer has option to apply at least one FMEA that suitable for their process and product.

After completion of this program, participants will be better able to: • Design good FMEA and understood which FMEA is suitable for them • Understand the benefit FMEA implementation in their process. • Recognizing possibilities of root causes problem on their product design and process. • Prevent mistakes and developing quality improvement in their process and product.
