In the era of globalization, the international financial system has become increasingly complex and interconnected, offering opportunities for economic growth while also heightening the risk of financial crimes. Foreign Exchange Banks, as financial institutions engaged in cross-border transactions, play a strategic role in ensuring compliance with regulations on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Counter Proliferation Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). As a full member of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Indonesia is obligated to ensure that its financial system is not exploited by transnational criminal actors. With optimal preparedness, Foreign Exchange Banks can not only meet global compliance standards but also safeguard the integrity of the national financial system against the threats posed by cross-border financial crimes.
