Project Manager is important roles to deliver project as per scope , time , cost and quality as per contract / agreement .
Majority project failed due to lack of leadership to deliver project , thus Project Manager should work fully in the project lifecyle . The challenge as new Project Manager is to ensure that he / she should know the framework or process as per PMBOK ( Project Management Body of Knowledge ). He / She know the 5 process of managing project which initiation - planning - execution - controlling and closing .
