Influence to Lead

In today's workplace, leaders increasingly need to collaborate across functions, influence peers, manage stakeholders, work with senior leaders, and engage team members with different levels of capability and motivation. Formal authority alone is often not enough to gain commitment and drive execution.

This program combines Influencing Without Authority and Situational Leadership to equip participants with practical tools to understand people, adapt their leadership approach, communicate with impact, build trust, handle resistance, and gain commitment.

Participants will practice real workplace situations through stakeholder mapping, influence strategy exercises, communication simulations, situational leadership cases, coaching role plays, and difficult conversation practice.

After completion of this program, participants will be able to:

• Understand the difference between authority, influence, and leadership and recognize when formal authority is insufficient.
• Identify stakeholder needs, motivations, interests, and sources of influence to build effective influence strategies.
• Apply practical influencing techniques to gain commitment, handle resistance, and achieve results across functions.
• Diagnose an individual's level of competence and commitment and select an appropriate Situational Leadership style.
• Adapt communication, delegation, coaching, and support according to the needs of different individuals and situations.
