Program summary

Since being introduced in late 2016, ISO 37001: Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) has been referred the leading practice in managing the risk of bribery by many organizations, from government institutions, businesses, and non-government organizations worldwide. Amid the increased anti-corruption enforcement across jurisdictions, ABMS offers the universal language to respond to the compliance requirement from US FCPA, UK ABAC, and other regions' prominent standards to ethical practice. Indonesia is no exception. Ministry of State Owned Enterprises had mandated all SOEs to implement ABMS in 2020. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) implemented ABMS themselves in 2021 and now encouraged all industries under their authority to apply a similar system. As the clock is ticking, it is fair to say that big players in the financial and capital market industries are preparing for ABMS implementation.

Before a company starts implementation, they have to know what ABMS require and make a gap analysis to see how far they are from a successful implementation. In this program, we will seek to understand bribery, ABMS and its requirements, and how the company can prepare for the initial implementation of ABMS from the practitioner who not only advised companies in successful initial implementation but also helped the national stakeholders in adopting ABMS into Indonesian context.

After completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of bribery
  • Understand ISO 37001 scheme and its requirement from clause 4-10
  • Identify what it take to prepare a successful initial implementation and ABMS certification
