Understanding Climate Impacts and Emission Scopes in Banking

This one-day training is designed to enhance Banking employees’ understanding of climate-related issues and their relevance to the banking sector. Participants will explore the fundamentals of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions and learn how these concepts apply to both operational activities and financed portfolios. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and interactive exercises, participants will gain insights into how Bank can measure, manage, and disclose its climate impact in alignment with global standards such as the GHG Protocol, IFRS S2, and TCFD. By the end of the session, participants will not only grasp the technical aspects of emission scopes but also understand their strategic importance in achieving Bank Group’s Net Zero commitment. The training bridges scientific understanding, regulatory frameworks, and practical applications, empowering staff to contribute to Bank in Indonesia’s transition toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient financial system.
