Procurement Financial Awareness & Supplier Evaluation Training is designed to help procurement teams understand fundamental financial aspects that are relevant to supplier selection, evaluation, and procurement decision-making. This program equips participants with the ability to read basic financial statements, understand key indicators of supplier financial health, and identify potential financial risks that may affect long-term supplier reliability and business continuity.

Through a practical, easy-to-understand, discussion-based, and case-study-driven approach, participants will learn how to analyze Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements from a procurement perspective. The program also introduces key financial indicators such as liquidity, profitability, cash position, debt level, and simple financial ratios that can help procurement professionals distinguish financially healthy suppliers from potentially risky ones.

In addition to supplier financial evaluation, this program also strengthens participants’ financial decision-making capabilities in procurement activities, particularly in relation to Buy vs Lease decisions. Participants will explore how to compare upfront costs, cash flow impact, operational flexibility, long-term cost considerations, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The program also introduces simple investment analysis tools such as Payback Period and Basic Net Present Value (NPV) to support more structured sourcing and investment-related procurement decisions.

By the end of the training, participants are expected to be able to apply practical financial thinking in procurement processes, conduct simple supplier financial health assessments, identify financial red flags, and make more objective, data-driven, and business-aligned procurement decisions.
