This practical session equips leaders/supervisors with communication skills to give clear instructions, provide constructive feedback, address performance issues respectfully, manage emotional responses, and coach employees toward improvement. Participants will also explore key differences in Japanese and Indonesian workplace communication tendencies to communicate more effectively across cultural expectations.

After completion of this program, participants will be better able to:

• Communicate expectations, instructions, feedback, and corrections clearly and respectfully.
• Apply the SBI (Situation–Behavior–Impact) framework when addressing employee behavior and performance.
• Separate facts from assumptions before reacting to a workplace situation using the Ladder of Inference.
• Recognize selected differences in Japanese and Indonesian workplace communication practices and adapt their communication accordingly.
• Manage emotions during difficult conversations without compromising firmness or respect.
• Use questioning and 5 Whys to identify causes and turn correction into coaching and development.
